Priorities
Excellent Schools
Saugus schools are known for being some of the finest in Northern Los Angeles County. Fourteen of our schools have been recognized as California Distinguished Schools - many receiving this award repeatedly.
We have five National Blue Ribbon Schools and one school that received the Title I National Academic Achievement award for 2012-2013.
We've accomplished a great deal, completing and initiating several critical modernization projects, enhancing our educational technology district-wide, and more.
Chris is committed to continuing the progress we’ve made so far. He looks forward to ongoing collaboration with my fellow Board Members and the Citizen Oversight Committee to ensure responsible application of Measure EE bond money to achieve maximum impact for our schools.
Responsive Leadership
Parents and community members play an important role in student achievement. As a Board Member, Chris views it as his responsibility to communicate with you and be responsive to your questions and concerns.
Chris will continue to reach out to you with the latest news and developments from across the District.
Chris will also work with his colleagues to ensure that we are meeting your needs and the needs of your children - whether they are beginning their education or ready to promote into the next chapter of their education.
Quality Education
A quality education is the key to success in later life. My focus as a Board Member is to deliver an exceptional education for every student by delivering programs that educate the whole student, working to close student achievement gaps, increasing access to educational technology, improving facilities, and supporting our students, teachers, administrators, and staff.
Chris is committed to ensuring each student’s individual learning needs are met so that all of our children can grow academically and personally.
